Two Tales of Courage
Anna Marie Roderman Cover Art by Elizabeth-Anne Rogers Photo by D. Fairchild THE BOOK Here are two novellas of bizarre science fiction and fantasy…powerful tales which touch the heart. Can the California Gold rush be mysteriously linked to the gold in King Tut's tomb? From Lorkin's Friend unites two 9 year old boys who are a part of each other's destiny…though they are thousands of years apart. Little Lorkin is a sensitive child with paralyzed legs living in the Gold Rush era. Little Tut is a strong-willed child of ancient Egypt. The Great Time Weaver makes time travel between different eras of history possible. The two boys meet magically in time, and become eternal friends. Even at his very tender age, Tut must accept an impossible challenge handed to him by Time Weaver. For only then can he prove worthy to become Pharaoh of his land. Tut, though, desperately needs Lorkin's help. Together, the boys must endure horrendous physical trials, and their friendship will be mightily tested. Yet - isn't friendship one of the strongest forces found in the universe? History knows that Tut indeed became Pharaoh of his ancient Kingdom. But can Lorkin ever leave his wheelchair, and walk in freedom? Papáshko's Hidden Heart Song is a tale of a long-ago land called Kizáritza. The country had it all: enchanting forests, a glorious imperial palace, spirited people - and bitter prejudice. The Zagdars, a gypsy-like ethnic group, were hated, shunned, and treated as less than nothing. Can the unconquerable love of one Zagdar family melt the cold hatred of a nation? Tiny twin sisters Solánya and Savásha are torn away from each other during a horrifying hate crime. Though the 3 year olds survive, their mama, papa and friends are killed. Yet their dead father, Papáshko, has a magical heart filled with love - and music. His twin daughters, living far away from one another, can hear the song of Papáshko's heart. As young ladies, they are reunited. Through heroic adventure, the twins heal the broken heart of a nation!
THE AUTHOR
Anna Marie Roderman began her writing adventures with a highly successful self-produced series of books about her adored little pug dog - Puggins! These children's books which she colorfully illustrated, were sold internationally, from her native California to England. The author studied classical violin seriously at the University of Indiana, Bloomington. She recently began writing young adult science fiction and fantasy adventure. Her love of music influences the sensitive yet powerful manner in which she creates stories. Anna Marie believes that a young reader entrusts his or her mind to an author when reading a book. Therefore, she strives to weave messages of goodness within her works - while presenting memorable characters. Currently, the fanciful writer is fashioning another tale of mystery for young readers…or those young at heart. Electronic Edition, download or disc ( * Disclaimer ) |
