Welcome to Denlinger's Denlingers, established in 1926, is more than a bookstore, we call it "TheBookDen". As an independent book publisher, we process manuscripts, then publish them as eBooks and printed InstaBook paperback versions. We market the product and make them available to the public through national distributors, Internet book stores and well known traditional brick and mortar establishments. Our Mission We will earnestly strive to enrich and entertain our customers through reading, by promoting one of our constitutional rights "freedom of speech." And, with honesty and integrity, strive to recognize and promote authors by publishing their works. Company Profile Established in 1926, Denlinger's has a long history as an independent traditional publishing house in Virginia. Today Denlinger's primarily publishes eBooks and short-run digital paperbacks from the Emerging Technologies Division in Florida. Denlinger's Publishers is not, and never has been, a "vanity" or subsidy publishing house. For many years the publishing house specialized in non-fiction "show dog," cat, bird, and other pet books, but in the 1950's began to branch into other fiction and nonfiction titles. Denlinger's all time best seller was the title Mandingo, by Kyle Onstott, published in 1957, selling over five million copies. In addition to becoming a NY Times bestseller Mandingo was also made into a movie by the same name. In 1997, William Denlinger teamed up with his close cousin Gustav Postreich who worked with him in the publishing business in his teen-age years, to form the Emerging Technologies Division in Florida. Early research was devoted to eBooks that were designed to be distributed on floppy disk or by email in a proprietary format that looks and acts like an Internet browser program. Eventually as other companies began developing hand held readers, Denlinger's became one of the very first content suppliers for the former Rocket eBook. Denlinger's continues to publish content for MicroSoft Reader and continues to explore possibilities of formatting for other platformed hand-held viewing devices (PDAs). In October 2000, Paradise Square by E.M. Schorb was a Grand Prize winner in the Frankfurt eBook Awards contest. Contact Information Telephone:
